Why Lie? I Need a Drink DVD Release Show

The Apprehensive Films produced documentary film, Why Lie? I Need a Drink, will be holding its DVD release show at The Crest Theatre on November 4th at 8pm. Tickets are just $15.00 and you receive a copy of the DVD. Tickets are on sale at the Crest Theatre box office, 1013 K Street, Downtown Sacramento. Director Keith Lowell Jensen and producers Jonathan Morken and John Astobiza will be in attendance.

Morken’s production and distribution company, Apprehensive Films, is handling the nationwide DVD release of the film. The DVD is already pre-selling well and is currently available for pre-sale at most online DVD outlets including BestBuy.com, Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com and many more. The official street date for the DVD is November 16th, but it will be available at the release show.

We've all heard the urban legend of the panhandler hopping in his nice car and making his way to a comfortable home after a day of begging on the freeway off-ramp. Comedian Keith Lowell Jensen decided to find out just how hard it really is to make money holding up a cardboard sign. With his sights set on the easy life Jensen spent countless hours employing every gimmick imaginable in an attempt to make his fortune. Can you really make a good living begging? Is anyone doing it? Why Lie? I Need a Drink enjoyed a small art-house theatrical run before making it’s way onto DVD. It played everywhere from Sacramento, San Francisco, Stockton and New York.
