Solid 1980's Slasher Featuring Jason Alexander

I just watched The Burning, AKA Cropsy, an early entry in the slasher genre from 1981. The film is a pretty much a slasher by-the-numbers outing, but was produced and written by Bob and Harvey Weinstein (Miramax & The WeinStein Company) features special FX by Tom Savini and starrs many recognizable faces, including Jason Alexander (George from Seinfeld).

The Burning is not a remarkably good film, but is a lot of fun with some decent jolts and it's one of the often overlooked entries in the slasher genre. It's available on DVD from MGM. Well worth a look.
